The mutant variety Yana was officialy approved in 2009. It was developed by in vitro mutagenesis, immature embryos were exposed to 25.2 w/cm2 of ultrasound waves for 1 minute and the mutant line 12003 was selected. The mutant line 12003 was used as a male parent of the hybrid variety Yana. Main improved attributes of mutant variety are high oil content and large number of seeds per head. |
